Isabella the Catholic is part of Granada's DNA.  Her obsession following the conquest of the Alhambra transformed it into an important modern city; proof of which remains evident throughout the City.

Queen Isabella is one of the most important figures in world history, chiefly for her roles in the unification of the Iberian kingdoms, the conquest of Granada, and the expeditions of Christopher Columbus which led to the European discovery of the American continent.

On this private tour with a local expert, you'll explore how the queen left her personal mark on Granada.  Learn about the unshakable faith of the queen which encouraged her to Christianise the population of Granada.  Discover the importance of the Great Captain Gonzalo Fernandez de Cordova, architect of the conquest.  Explore places such as the Madraza, the Royal Chapel, the Cuarto Real, the Capitania General, and the Convent of the Comendadoras de Santiago.

Minimum 48 hours advance booking required.  Private tour pricing is based on group size, from 1 to 10 persons.
