Private Old Jewish Quarter Walking Tour in Dubrovnik
The oldest Sephardic synagogue still in use is found in the heart of Dubrovnik's Old Town - said to have been established in 1352, but gained legal status in the city in 1408. Jews then came to Dubrovnik and made an important cultural contribution to the development of the Republic.
The walking tour begins with Onofrio's Fountain and continues along Stradun (the main street) to Zudioska Street where the Jewish community was once situated. Here you will visit the famous Synagogue established in the 15th century, re-built in 1652 and still in use today. You will hear the story of Yeshayah Cohen, a 16th century philosopher and poet who has crowned Dubrovnik in his work as Queen of the Illyrian Sea. After visiting the Synagogue, you will visit the Jewish fountain and other major historical sites in Dubrovnik such as Sponza (the first customs office in this part of the world), the Rector's Palace, City Hall, Bell Tower and the Lodge, Od Puca Street – where many Dubrovnik goldsmiths are located. You will also see the famous Orlando's column along the way. Dubrovnik is the city that will surely capture your heart with its ancient charisma and abundant heritage.

There is a $6.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order. There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown at checkout includes any fuel surcharges, service charges and tax. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.
Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

COVID-19 Protocols Updates
To qualify for entry, travelers from the United States must present one of the following (for detailed information about these requirements, please visit the Croatian Government’s Ministry of Interior website):
- A negative viral test result: PCR not older than 72 hours or acceptable rapid antigen test not older than 48 hours (counting from the time of taking the test to arriving at the border crossing point).
- A certificate of vaccination not older than 365 days and where the final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine was administered at least 14 days prior to entering Croatia.
- A certificate of vaccination for persons who recovered from COVID-19 and have received one dose of the vaccine within eight months of contracting the virus, provided the vaccine was administered within the last 365 days.
- Perform PCR testing or rapid antigen testing immediately upon arrival to Croatia (at the traveler’s own expense), with the obligation to stay in self-isolation until receiving a negative test result. If testing cannot be performed, travelers must self-isolate for a period of 10 days.
- Travelers can facilitate faster processing at the Croatian border by completing the Enter Croatia web form and uploading their information and attachments ahead of their arrival.
- Tourists are also required to show the proof of booked or paid accommodation or ownership of a home or a vessel when entering Croatia.
Wearing face masks is required in enclosed public indoors spaces and outdoors when social distancing of at least 1.5 meters cannot be maintained.
